We can use iPad to sync gmail contacts, calendar email and other data. It is somehow like making a backup so that you don't need to worry about losing important information.
1. Go to "Settings".

2. Then click "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", add accounts on the right.

3. Dab "Add Account" and you will see the following interface, choose "Microsoft Exchange".

4. Input info one by one. When all are filled, dab "next".

5. Then Apple will verify.

6. hereafter there will be a pop out window, choose "accept".

7. After that you will see another window which requires server address.

8.Type "m.google.com".

9. Dab "next" again.

10. Then you will see "Mail", "Contacts" and "Calendars". Turn off "Mail" since it may cause mess code.

11. Then "save".

12. Now you are led to the previous interface but with your gmail account synced.

13. Try "Contacts" app.

14. Now all the gmail contacts have been synced to iPad contacts.

15. Check and you will see calendar also has been synced.

Now you have Sync Gmail contacts and Google calendar with your iPad succefully.
