How to Recover Lost Data from MacBook Hard Drive

If you've been using MacBook or computer for a considerable time, someone would have told you that data stored on a hard drive is not exactly safe. That's true. • Step 1: Choose the Recovery Mode
Run Data Recovery on the Mac, you'll get a primary interface that shows you five recovery options. Read the instructions in each option and select the one that suit you most.

• Step 2: Scanning hard drive on Mac
In this step, the window will display available drives to recovery. Choose the one you want to recover, and to narrow down the scanning result, you may select the file format in "Select Scanning File System".
Note: If your files were lost from your MacBook hard drive due to formatting, you'd better tick "Enable Deep Scan" in the window too.

• Step 3: Recovering lost data
After scanning, all files you can recover are displayed in the window. You can click the file folders and file names to review the one you want to retrieve. Next, click "Recover" and select a destination on another hard drive (Not the original one) to save the recovered files.
