How to Transfer Data to New iOS Device

First of all, back up the original data from your old device and transfer them to your newly-bought device. The data include messages, E-mails, account, photos, memo and other personal setting. If both of the two devices furnish iOS 5 or the higher-ranking version and you also have iCloud account, you can use iCloud directly. If you don't have iCloud account or one of the devices equips with lower-ranking iOS version, you can use iTunes to fulfill the operation.

Use iCloud:

1. As mentioned above, make sure that the two devices furnish with iOS 5 or above version and your iCloud account is available. Go to "Setting" > "iCloud" > "Storage & Backup" > "iCloud Backup." Before backing up your data, make sure that your device is connected to Wi-Fi and plugged in battery. Then tap "Backup Now".
Note: Do not begin migration before the backup is finished to ensure all data has been backed up.

2. After finishing backup of you're your old device, turn on your new device. Select "Language and Country" to complete the setup assistant. Then choose whether to enable "Location Service". When prompted, choose your Wi-Fi network.

3. When prompted to set up, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup", tap "Next" and enter your Apple ID and password.

4. Choose the data you have backed up from your old device, tap "Restore" and wait until the device has finishing restore from backup. When finishing the process, your device will reboot. Then you can use the new device. You should connect to iTunes to sync the data not contained in the backup such as music, video, apps, etc. Click the syncing tab in iTunes, you can verify and change the data which are syncing.

Use iTunes:

1. Make sure that one or both your devices use the latest version of iOS and iTunes. Then connect your iPhone to your PC. Use iTunes to back up data and transfer them to your PC.

2. Open your new device, choose "Language and Country/Region" to complete the setup assistant. Then choose whether to use "Location Service". When prompted, choose your Wi-Fi network. Choose "Connect to iTunes", and when prompted to set up, choose "Restore from iTunes Backup".

3. Connect your new device to iTunes (on the same computer you used to back up your current iPhone). iTunes will ask you to restore from backup or set up as new. Select the backup of your old device and choose Continue

4. When the restore process is complete, your device will restart. Then it will be ready for use. You should keep your device connected to iTunes to sync data not contained in the backup (such as music, videos, apps, and so on). You can verify and change which data are synced by clicking the syncing tabs in iTunes.
Note: If you restored from an unencrypted backup, you will need to enter password for your Apple ID, email and other accounts and voicemail again. If you've forgotten your voicemail password, contact your carrier.
